THEATRE SUMMER CAMP for YOUTH!

Fine Arts Department
TRG and The George Gervin Academy are thrilled to host a 6-week
theatre training program that will aid students in developing theatre skills.
The program will be in two sessions, outlined below, and each will culminate in a performance.

Danielle King: Theatre and Music Instructor- School of Excellence
Renaissance Guild Co-Founder/ Treasurer/ Act One Program Manager
Dates
June 8th – July 16th, 8am-12pm
Mondays – Thursdays only
8 AM – 12 PM. There will be a daily snack for participants, but no lunch.
Location – The George Gervin Academy

Performances:
Saturday, June 27th, 6 pm- Duet scenes. Free performance
Wednesday, July 15th, Time-TBA. Admission $5.00
REGISTRATION FEE: (non-refundable & limited slots available)
$30.00 for George Gervin Academy Students
$60.00 for the general public
Registration & Fee Deadline: June 3rd
AGE RESTRICTIONS: from ages 12- 18 (6th thru 12th graders)
(see Registration procedures below)
Daily participation and attendance is critical.
Students missing more than four days may be withdrawn from the program.
No refund will be provided for early withdrawals.
Capacity: Limited to first registered 25 students

1st Week – Warm-ups/Improvisation/ Acting 101/Playwriting Intro/
Read Thru Of Duet Scenes / Auditions for Duet Scenes
2nd Week – Improvisation and Warm-ups/ Duet Scenes/
Intro to Directing/ Theatre Beats, Play Writing/Editing
3rd Week – Improvisation/Warm-up /Duet Scenes Rehearsals
Duet Scene Performance
4th Week – Act One Play Selection Casting (Actors And Directors)
5th Week – Play Rehearsal
Summer Theatre Internship
6th Week- Play Rehearsal /TRG Junior Act One Performance and Award Show
Gervins students must enroll directly with Ms. Carter
Non-Gervin students must enroll online using the following procedures-
