Phyllis Lee (Raynelle) is a woman who loves the Lord and has been acting for over twenty years in her church drama guild at Greater Corinth Baptist Church, were she is active in various departments. Previous performances include: spoken word at the Black Word perspective, TRG’s Frankenstein (Frau Mueller), TRG’s Shel Silverstein Readers theatre (Psychiatrist and Mrs. Q), Long Time Since Yesterday and Hornsby’s productions of A Raisin in the Sun (Ruth). In her free time Ms. Lee enjoys staying fit, gardening, jazz music and reading Langston Hughes.
Kevin Majors (Raybud) is an aspiring actor who began his acting career in Indianapolis, Indiana where he participated in numerous high school plays. Kevin’s long list of credits includes: commercials, corporate videos, and an appearance on Showtime at the Apollo. His TRG performances include Spell #7, Riff Raff, and In The Blood, for which he won a Best Supporting Actor Award from A.T.A.C. This brotha is keeping it real!
Cyndi Lucas (Lucille) Cyndi is delighted to be back on the Jump Start stage in The Renaissance Guild’s production of Dearly Departed. She was last seen as M’Lynn in TRG’s production of Steel Magnolias. Her favorite roles include Ruth in A Raisin in the Sun, for which she won the 2006 ATAC award for Best Supporting Actress-Drama; Cindi in the musical Godspell; and Eleanor Dunbar in the musical Footloose. Cyndi is a proud, retired veteran of the US Air Force.
Charles Riley (Junior) is no stranger to the San Antonio stage. After graduating from John J. High School, he started acting in 2004 with the sketch comedy group, The Woodies. He has been in several productions by Hornsby Entertainment; in Soldier’s Play he played C.J. Memphis, and the role of Lenny in Of Mice & Men.
His TRG performances include; the lead role in Fences as Troy, A Raisin in the Sun, and several ActOne Series productions.
Charlita Williams (Suzanne) makes her San Antonio TRG stage debut in this production of Dearly Departed. Prior to joining TRG, Charlita worked on the RBC production Deliverance. Charlita has worked on commercials, print ads, and movies in the Texas area. She thanks her family and friends for their continual support. She thanks God to whom she gives all of the glory.
Denise Swain (Marqueritte) makes her third appearance with the Renaissance Guild. You may remember her as Ouiser in Steel Magnolias. Denise wishes to thank her family, friends, and co-workers for all their support when she is in the diva-mode.
Raymond Moore (Royce) is an active duty Air Force member. This production marks his stage debut and is a catalysis to a promising entertainment career. He is married to his childhood friend and has four wonderful children. Raymond is a devote Christian and holds several offices at the church he attends. He wants to thank all of his family and friends for supporting him, and mostly God, for being “I am.”
Alexis Castro (Delightful/Nadine) makes her acting debut in Dearly Departed. Alexis has been in love with the stage since early childhood, and she has been a competitive choral singer and soloist since she attended middle school. She plans to attend Stephen F. Austin State University in hopes of pursuing a career in vocal music.
Rick Clyde (Reverend Hooker) had his acting debut at the age of 5 as Little Jack Horner and continued his award-winning career throughout High School, Persephone; Livin’ da Life; Bluebeard had a Wife. After taking a sabbatical to raise four wonderful and talented children with his lovely wife of 25 years, Rick is back on stage much to the delight of his adoring fans (both of them). His recent work includes the film Resurrection and TRG’s Act One Series XI In the Beginning
Suzanne Brown (Juanita) makes her San Antonio stage debut in Dearly Departed. She has also performed in the musicals Alice in Wonderland as Alice and in the Wizard of Oz as a Munchkin in Beaumont, TX, and she was in the international Italian movie Occhio Pinocchio filmed in Houston, TX. She is an accomplished singer and dancer, has toured in New Zealand, and is also a stand-up comedian.
Cynthia Castro (Veda/Merline-Prop Mistress) is a San Antonio native. Ms. Castro has been several productions with TRG’s Act One Series. She made her acting debut only a few years ago at the Guadalupe Theater in Ay, Pedro! and later with Burros Productions of Las Nuevas Tamaleras.
Enrique Lara (Clyde/Norvel) makes his San Antonio stage debut with Dearly Departed.
His previous roles include The Breakfast Club as John, and Who’s on First as Oliver Hardy. He is a stand-up comedian who has opened for Chris “Crazy Legs” Fonseca and Jose Sarday at various venues in San Antonio. He thanks his family and friends for inspiring him, and he dedicates his performance to the apple of his eye, Baby Masun.

Diane Malone (Director) is a free-lance director and designer, and a founding co-Artistic Director of the new Classic Theatre of San Antonio. The former Artistic Director of the Church Theatre, she has also served as director and/or designer of theatres in Germany, Louisiana , Indiana and Washington , DC . Jenelva Carter (Assistant Director/Understudy) is a graduate of University of the Incarnate Word. She currently teaches theatre at a local charter school. She also serves as the Secretary and Co- ActOne Manager in TRG’s One Act Series. She has directed several plays: The Dalessha Report, Flies in the Ice and The Big Sign. In addition previous stage roles include: Beauty/ Amiga Gringa in In the Blood, Annelle in Steel Magnolias and Delia in Blues for an Alabama Sky.

Danielle King (Assistant Producer/US Delightful/Nadine) is a practicing Christian, co-founder of TRG, and founder of DramaChild Productions. Her recent performances include Blues for an Alabama Sky and Crowns. She won ATAC Awards in 2007 for her roles in Proposals for Best Actress-Comedy; and Best Supporting Actress-Comedy in Steel Magnolias. She sends lots of love and thanks to her family, friends, supporters, and mostly to God.

Schronda Donald (Stage Manager) is a life long theatre patron and actress once again takes her hand at technical theatre. She is blessed in her fourth season with TRG, to work with such an incredibly talented cast. Although she favors theatre, her technical and acting credits include television and film as well.
Rick Malone (Sound Design) Dearly Departed is Rick’s first show with Renaissance Guild; however, his work is not unknown in San Antonio theatres. He has designed award winning sound and lighting for Firelight Players, The Sheldon Vexler Theatre, Extended Run Players, San Pedro Playhouse, Majik Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park and the Church Theatre. His sound design for MacBeth was among several designs “displayed” in Prague, Czech Republic at the Prague Quadrennial Exposition of Scenography in June 2007.
Jesse Arenas (Light Design) is currently enrolled as a student at the UIW theatre department, but has been working professionally in San Antonio since 1996. He is currently the head of the Lighting Department at San Antonio Sound and Light. Jesse enjoys working with TRG; this is his fourth production with them.
Eric Platt (Set Construction and Light Design) started working in theatre in High School and continued in college. He is a Five Star Thespian member, a former member of the LA Stuntman Assoc. and former member of the Hollywood Chapter of the Actor’s Guild. He has worked for various community theatres for several years, specializing in construction, lighting, sound and special effects.
Scharlette Donald (Light and Sound Board Operator) a native San Antonian, is a vocal performer and actress. Her most recent acting performance was with The Renaissance Guild’s Act One Series. She is currently pursuing a theatrical and music career and hopes to one day be a part of a hit musical. When asked why she enjoys working with The Renaissance Guild she says because it is the best learning experience.
Paula King (House Manager) began volunteering as Usher with TRG in 2001. Since then, she has become House Manager, and attributes her passion for theatre to watching her elder sister Danielle perform. “I have seen nothing but GREATNESS for TRG and for those whom assist us with making each performance a success.” I would be remiss if I did not thank God, our Father for allowing me to serve in such a wonderful capacity, and for allowing me the opportunity to share the love of theatre with others.
Belinda Saldana Dominguez (Sound Board Operator) got her start in such productions as The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and Once Upon A Mattress. She holds a BA in History from UTSA and a Masters of Public Administration from TX A&M University-Corpus Christi. She looks forward to becoming an active member of the San Antonio Theatre community.
Johnathan Ross(Stage Hand) Is a senior at Ronald Reagan High School and is part of a military family. He is a member of the competitive marching band, which has won local, state, and national competitions. Jonathan is a Zoo Team volunteer at the San Antonio Zoo where he enjoys educating children. In addition, he volunteers in the multimedia ministry at his church. Jonathan is looking forward to his college pursuits.
Paul Riddle, Jr. (Producer) is a Co-Founder and President of TRG. Paul began his acting career over 15 years ago and some of his on stage appear¬ances include The Gin Game, A Soldier’s Play, Raisin In the Sun, Ceremonies in Dark Old Men, Fences, Betrayal and Blessed Assurance. Paul produced several ActOne and Mainstage plays including the ATAC winning production of A Raisin in the Sun. He is happy to watch others on and off stage enjoying the magic of theatre.
